China, Sung (Song) Dynasty, ca. 960 to 1279 CE. Superb and very rare Jianyao Hare's Fur glazed pottery tea cup. Graceful small cup on raised foot, interior and exterior covered in the most luscious deep brown glaze with areas of blue, gray and black. Size: 2-3/8" D (6 cm).
