A RARE AND FINE WHITE JADE GILT-BRONZE BELT BUCKLE, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY - 9,5 cm long, 6 cm high - The two sides rolls finely carved with a geometric svastik motif jointed by a elegant incised lotus band frame the perfectly white jade plaque with its relief chinese characters inscription: “With beauties of the spring in view, it gives me not to see her face of rosy hue’’ a famous phrase from the Chinese drama of Yuan Dynasty “The story of the western win” of Wang Shifu (1250-1337) translated by Xu Yuan Chong. In the back a fine incised lotus flower and foliate. In perfect condition.
