Description
An early 20th century cultured pearl and diamond portrait brooch. The circular-shape portrait of a woman in period dress, within a rose-cut diamond surround, to the cultured pearl highlights. Diameter 3.2cms. Weight 9.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate carat weight estimation. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds fairly bright and lively. Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen with magnification. Diamonds in good condition with minor abrasions. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. Cultured pearls well matched. Cultured pearls white and creamy-white, showing pink and green overtones with good lustre. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
