Description
Splendid builder's half model of the English built Folkstone and Boulogne steamer "Victoria" of 568 tons. Launched July 20, 1861 and owned by the South Eastern Railway Company. "Victoria" was built by Samuda Brother's Builders of London. Hull is built of rosewood lifts with satinwood between the lifts. Exceptional carved figurehead and fleur de lis trailboard. Black French polish above the waterline. Hull is mounted to a burlwood back panel with outer moulding. Some separations to outer moulding. Overall Dimensions: 63" x 4" x 17"
