Description
After Demétre Haralamb Chiparus (Romanian, 1886-1947), "Indiscreet", patinated bronze sculpture, incised on base "D.H. Chiparus" and with foundry medallion reading "EUROPEAN BRONZE FINERY". Patinated bronze figural sculpture depicting a standing young woman in wide brimmed hat with floral accent on ribboned band wearing a short sleeved dress with knee length pleated skirt looking over shoulder of extended arm with seated cockatoo. Figure supported on intregal square base with canted corners further raised on a black marble plinth. Overall approximate height 14.5", base approximately 4.6" square.
