AMERICAN COIN SILVER, GORHAM & OTHER STERLING SOUVENIR TEASPOONS, MID 19TH-EARLY 20TH C., 37 PIECES:Coin silver includes 6 table spoons, L.8 1/2", engraved "Steele" at the handle, possibly by Charles C. Shaver, as well as 1 other table spoon by S. C. & Co, 1 ladle by N. Matson, 1 shell spoon, and 7 teaspoons--totaling approximately 13.8 troy oz. Together with sterling silver souvenir teaspoons, including, by Gorham, 2 commemorating the Gaspee Affair, 2 depicting Leif Erikson, 1 depicting William H. Taft, 1 with an eagle tip and the Capitol Building at the bowl, and others, such as 1 commemorating "The Midnight Ride 1775", 1 "Ethan Allen", the states of Colorado, Utah and Missouri--totaling approximately 16.3 troy oz. Plus 1 other table spoon, appears to be English silverplate.
