Description
Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A pair of oversized porcelain Yi Ting bottle floor vases of tall cylindrical form decorated on tondo to body in hand painted cobalt blue underglaze depicting a five clawed dragon in flight amid cloud scrolls and flames set above an expanse of stylized ocean waves, below the waves with a band of meandering key patterning, above the dragon with a band of alternating height vertical scrolls forms, and at rim with another band of meandering key, the flat wide rim with a band of geometric line patterning. Unmarked. Approximate height 22.5", diameter 10.25".
