Description
George W. Shiebler & Co. (American (New York), 1876-1910). Set of twelve matching sterling silver circular butter pat dishes with repousse Art Nouveau decoration in the form of a raised floral border surrounding tondo with monogrammed "R". Underside of each diminutive dish marked with "S" within wings for manufacturer, "STERLING" and "2772" for pattern number. Each approximate diameter 3.4". Total weight of group approximately 10.54 troy ounces. Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
