Cold-painted ceramic and glaze. China, Ming dynasty (1368 – 1644)
A court official standing upright on a hexagonal base in a long robe, bulky shoes and very tall, black quadratic headgear. The long robe as well as partly also the stepped base, are coated by a green glaze, the base with interesting applications on sancai glaze. Finely painted features with facial hair, hand on the chest, the belt tied in a bow. The head is detachable. Signs of age and mild weathering. ç¶ é‡‰é™¶ç“·é«˜è‡£ç«‹åƒ. ä¸åœ‹, 明代. 高 53.5 厘米.
