This is an Early Victorian French 18k bangle bracelet, circa 1840's. The bracelet features a hinged ridged design topped with a stylized buckle motif that is framed with 25 natural fresh water pearls. The pearls exhibit a fine rose overtone with an excellent luster. They are set into a handmade highly pierced 18K rose gold mounting that weighs 16.50dwt. It measures 7 1/2" x 1/2". This is an Early Victorian French 18k bangle bracelet, circa 1840's. The clasp is stamped with French hallmarks (rhinos head) which date the piece between 1838-1847 as well as the Makers Mark ( E Crown D) in a diamond shaped design which unfortunately we were unable to identify. As you can see from the photos the bangle is in overall excellent condition considering its age.
