Description
A standard Dietz #39 bellbottom frame with the unusual "Wing Lock" friction mount burner. The BR&P used lots of this style of frame. This frame is nice and clean. It has a unique bell that requires a gap for the burner shaft in addition to two mounting pins. These frames always seem to sit "low" or squat. The lid is nicely stamped BR&P RY in standard lettering. The frame is 100% original and clean. The bottom of the bell has the 1910 patent information.
Not only is the frame a bit unusual but the globe is interesting too. It has an extended base and distinctive BR&P RY cast in an oval panel. The casting is nice. The globe has many minor flakes off the top rim. This lantern displays very well.
