Description
An unusual transitional frame with an Adlake cage and base and an "Adams" style top. Note the pointed top and it has two soft tabs that retain the vent assembly spring. The stamping of B&MRR is also the smaller Adams & Westlake style of lettering. There are some of these models around. They aren't hen's teeth but they aren't falling out of trees either. These look good on the shelf between and Armspear and a Reliable. It's odd that with the early lid it has the last style of burner used on Reliables. They must have been trying to save money by not using brass (World War One?).
The globe is a fine #39 with an extended base, square end panel, fancy lettering. Somebody please buy this lantern and put the globe in a frame where the extended base doesn't rub on the burner shaft. A really nice heavy globe that is a nice find.
