19th C. English hand painted porcelain tea set in Imari medallion design. Comprising teapot, covered sugar bowl, covered cream jug, 8 tea cups and saucers; 2 other small cups and saucers, a bowl, plate and small dish.

The sugar bowl lid has negligible chips on inside inner lip, possibly inherent from manufacturing. The cream jug lid has similar irregularities on rim, possibly inherent from manufacturing. The shaped dish has an indiscernible hairline crack in one fold of the ruffled rim, it is invisible on the Imari glazed front, but can be felt with a fingernail. On the Imari glazed front of the circular dish there is a small flake loss in the glaze in the center of one of the blue mon medallions inner border.
