The set was designed in 1982 by multi-disciplined artist Dorothy Hafner in the style of the Memphis Group. Her work can be found in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert in London and the Smithsonian.

PROVENANCE: From the private collection of world travelers, art supporters and distinguished persons connected with the Art Institute.

All pieces are free of chips, cracks and repairs but there is the slightest rubbing in the cavetto of the plates. It is noticeable in a raking light, very faint, please see the last photo.
