Description
The Great Maine Moose hunt photographic archive. A group of over forty, circa 1940s - 1950s photographs depicting a group of men hunting, per our consignor these were taken in Maine. It was a bountiful hunt, the photos show the men with a Moose, Grouse, Bear, Deer, Fish and show them clowning around the camp. Also included is a hand painted photograph depicting a wild Moose running through water towards the woods, this is signed in graphite by A. E. Weitkamp. The photograph measures 8"h x 10"w and is housed in a wood frame (without glass) measuring 14"h x 16"w. PROVENANCE: from distinguished gentleman’s living estate, former renowned Antiques Dealer, and world-wide Collector of valued Fine-Art, extensive Antiques (w/ an expertise in Asian, European and Americana).
Condition
One page in good condition, all others with damage but with images suitable for framing.
