AFTER GEORGIA O'KEEFFE, UNESCO COMMISSIONED OIL-PAINT-SCREEN-PRINT H 12" W 30", "WHITE CANADIAN BARN":From the "UNESCO Travelling Print Exhibition From Impressionism Till Today" series" commissioned in 1948. Multiple, amended-oil paint-screen-printed reproduction of "White Canadian Barn No. 2, 1932". The original from which this reproduction was produced was from a series done by O'Keeffe during a summer trip to the Gaspe Peninsula of Canada in 1932. The Detroit Institute of Arts labels at the reverse, Loan No. 171 (see additional photographs). Measuring H. 12" x 30"; framed. The pamphlet for the UNESCO exhibition notes: "Government Departments, educational and cultural institutions desiring duplicate sets of the prints contained in this exhibition may obtain them at special rates through UNESCO." and many duplicates of this and the other prints were made.
