Description
China, late Ming to early Qing Dynasty, ca. 16th to 18th century. A very finely potted covered jar decorated in blue and white glaze. Lid is decorated with 4 horses in various poses, small raised handle and band of blue and white "braiding" along base of rim. Base itself is also decorated with 4 horses, braided decoration on upper rim and twin thin blue band at base. Bottom left reserved save 2 faint red marks. Custom stand for lid. Size: 5.25" W x 5.25" H (13.3 cm x 13.3 cm)
