This lot consists of two characters that reflect the magic of childhood. The first is Thomas Nast's Santa Claus. Santa is 18" tall, fully jointed, and made of molded felt. His face comes to life with hand painted facial features and a realistic white mohair wig and beard. His suit is made from red mohair and is trimmed in alpaca and felt. His amazing detailing includes leather shoes with brass buckles, a backpack, numerous miniature toys, and a custom published miniature Mother Goose book. Santa was introduced in 2003/04 in an edition size of 500; this example is number 13. The second is Pinocchio. He is 9" tall, fully jointed, and made from hand carved Alpine maple. He wears red shorts, a tan shirt, and a black vest, and a dark tan hat. He was made in 1992 in an edition size of 500; this example is number 329. He was produced in association with Disney.
