Description
The American Watch Company is the result of an 1859 merger between Waltham Improvement Company with Appleton, Tracey & Co. As the country entered the Civil Wat in 1861, production slowed immensely, downsizing to the lowest possible production level. They were known for being the main supplier of railroad pocket watches.
