Description: Rare Chinese celadon inkwell.Sung Dynasty. Square shape with rounded edges with hole for dipping a pen. It comes with a carved wood stand for display.
History: Celadon, greenish ceramic glaze that is used on stoneware.Celadon is used both for the glaze itself and for the article glazed. It is particularly valued in China, Korea, Thailand, Japan and other parts of Southeast Asia.
