Pair of Japanese Imari porcelain vases now mounted as lamps, Taisho period, of melon form with fluted bodies and inverted rims, each decorated with reserves and cartouches depicting phoenixes and birds resting in trees above boats, on striped backgrounds with gilt accents, ending in geometric cobalt bands, and rising on square wooden bases, vases 9.75"h x 5.5"dia, overall, 27.5"h.
