Description
The Chinese dragon rice or soup bowl offered in this lot is similar to those created during the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1654-1722).  The mark on this piece has, in underglaze blue, a stiffer version of an "artemisia" leaf inside a double circle probably used during the early 20th century.  The crackle pottery piece features a dragon painted on the inside bottom; birds, leaves and flowers adorn the outside.  It measures approximately 5" diameter and 3" deep.  It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
