Description
Offered in this lot are two items for railroad enthusiasts, including a handsome plaque featuring an old-time train scene under beveled reverse glass. The glass measures 10" x 8", and the wooden plaque which is also beveled measures 12" x 10". Also included is a glass plate commemorating the Southern Pacific Railroad Bicentennial (1851-1976). It features a metal coin, approximately 1-1/2" in diameter, attached to the center of the dish. The coin is inscribed, "Two Hundred Years of Free Enterprise," and depicts the Liberty Bell. The grayish-tinted, oval-shaped dish is approximately 8-1/2" x 6-1/2". It states, in gold-colored lettering: "1851 * Southern Pacific* 1976" and "The Bicentenary."
