Jacob Jordaens (1593-1678)-studio, As the old sing, so the young pipe, in a traditional Dutch interior, with view to a landscape, sitting an old couple and two ladies by a drapped table and singing from books and pages, while two children and young man pipe, a young boy in the centre viewing the scene, as well a dog, a cat and a bird surround the table; the face of the old lady reflects in a mirror. This seems to be a yet not recorded version of the subject "As the old sing, so the young pipe" in the literature. Oil on canvas.
