Wieland, Deutsche Wochenschrift fÃ¼r Kunst und Literatur. Berlin: Wieland Verlag Julius Bard, 1915-1916. German.
A volume of the first year issues of "Wieland", a German art and literature weekly, published during World War I. The journal's entire revenue was donated to the Red Cross. Issues 1-52 (some doubled). 44 booklets in all.
Writers include: Gerhard Hauptmann, Hermann Hesse, Lotte von Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Arthur Silbergleit and Jakob Wasermann.
Artists whose works appear in the journal include Erich BÃ¼ttner, Lyonel Feininger, Max Liebermann, Emil Orlik and Hermann Struck.
Volume 33 cm. Good condition. Slightly brittle paper.
