TWO FRENCH ART DECO CRYSTAL PERFUME BOTTLES, CIRCA 1925, comprising a Baccarat crystal flacon, for Gabilla, the clear segmented bottle in the form of a pointed arch terminating in an octagonal collar, surmounted by a conformingly shaped "Gabilla" intaglio stopper, the base with an off-center circular acid etched mark beside a later Mexico import label, retaining remnants of original fragrance, height: 3"; an "Adieu Sagesse" perfume bottle, designed by Süe et Mare, for Jean Patou (French 1880-1936), circa 1925, the stepped rounded arch flacon centering a circular scalloped gold and red embossed label naming the scent, over a gilt base with chamfered corners, and topped by a large completely gilt clear glass stopper in the form of a raspberry, traces of original perfume, height: 5 1/2". NOTE: Süe et Mare was a Parisian design company founded by Louis Süe (French 1875-1968) and André Mare (French 1885-1932), the same talented duo responsible for designing Jean Patou's popular "Joy" fragrance bottle. Both flacons in good condition, with no apparent major chips, cracks, or repairs. The Baccarat flacon is missing its Gabilla fragrance. As mentioned, the Baccarat circular maker's mark on base is slightly off-center. The Jean Patou flacon has scratches on the base, as well as loss of gilding on the stopper.
