Condition: Etching in exc condition, Frame: vintage wood distressed has some cihps yet blends in well.
Vincent P. Rascon: one of the most noted Mexican American artists of the last 30 years. He was raised El Paso, Texas. He completed post graduate studies in drawing and sculpture at USC. Focusing on printmaking, he earned his MFA from Otis Art Institute and then continued advance printmaking studies at the University of Madrid at Atelier 17 Paris. Studied with Stanley Hayter in Paris.
He has permanent collections in Mexico, at the Office of the Governor of Oaxaco, Merida City Museum, Regional Museum of Oaxaca, Sala Provincia de Leon (Spain) and the National Library of Spain (Madrid) and various locations in the US.
He taught etching, ceramic and glass blowing to students in the SF Bay Area for 25 years at the College of San Mateo.
Many call him "œMaestro" (the teacher). He also taught at The University of Sonora. .
