Notes
A rare early decorated studio pottery vase by well known California artist Harrison McIntosh, decoration design by Harrison's close friend and fellow artist Paul Darrow.
Works like this were produced by Harrison very early in his career. The decoration was influenced by the local academia of Claremont, California, home to Claremont Colleges. This work shows a student working his way through art school, with scenes from his college experience decorating the outer wall of the bowl.
