_From Askart: An illustrator, lithographer, and painter, Raymond Crosby became known for his cartoon-like drawings in the classes of Charles Woodbury and is mentioned in the book "Charles Woodbury and his Students". He also illustrated covers for the "Saturday Evening Post". Crosby was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and settled in Yarmouthport, Massachusetts. He was also in Santa Fe, New Mexico later in his life and died there in 1945.
