Description
CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN FIGURES OF GIRLS, LOT OF TWO, comprising a two-part box forming the figure of a girl asleep in her high chair, with a bowl of cereal before her, her dress painted with alternating bands of flowers and blue stripes, and a Rococo-style rectangular figural group, "The Spoils of War," the plinth with shell- and scroll-molded lower edge, the top surface molded with a figural group of a little girl crying near a wooden fence, having lost a tug-of-war with a dog, who has her pretzel, her prone doll tossed aside, mostly painted pink; the first with written shape and mold number in black, and incised numerals as well; the second with impressed shield and numeral. Circa 1900 and later. 3 1/4" and 7 1/2" H.

Condition
The back wall of the box base with a large chip and absent the piece, with a related hairline crack toward the base; figural group with two elements of the fence broken off.
