Vintage 1977 STAR WARS Episode IV: A New Hope, 77/21 Half-Sheet Theatrical Release Movie Poster. Printed on heavier stock paper and folded in half in both directions and stored flat. Measures 21" x 28". Back of the poster is stamped "STECHTING C.F.M. FILMVERHUUR, HERENGRACHT 102, AMSTERDAM 1002". This is an ORIGINAL, not a reprint; and it was acquired from the former Detroit Antique Toy Museum. There is some wear including wear and creasing on the fold lines, a few pinholes, a small fingertip size piece ripped off near the lower right side, 2 small tears along the bottom edge, some wear on the bottom 2 corners, a couple of slight stains towards the bottom of the poster where it appears that tape was used (no tape residue is present though). Also after close inspection I have reason to believe that an inch of the top edge has been cut off...possibly for the movie house to fit better in the frame?! Not sure, but never-the-less, the measurement is 21" instead of the typical 22", and the edge is not as "crisp" as the other 3 sides, indicating it has been modified.
