Description

A mid Victorian brooch. The bar brooch with a central oval-shape panel painted to depict a lady leaning on an anchor watching a ship sail away. Length 6cms. Weight 4.9gms.
Overall fair condition. There is a replacement base metal pin, there are areas of rubbing to the plating on the metal of the brooch. There is a very small section of a safety chain attached. There is a 3mm wide chip to the base of the glass. Light to moderate surface scratches throughout from general wear. A small pin point dint to the front of the bar brooch.
