8 volumes. Original cloth, 2 with worn Dust Jackets. The first three volumes have 176-200 numbered pages. The increasingly large ad and appendix pages at the rear were numbered after 1947, making up to 350 total pages.

As in the earlier volumes listed in this sale, there were hundreds of graphic examples, with Depression and wartime austerity beginning to fade with a gradual return to the Art Deco tradition of color plates. Spanning the World War II and first post-war years, the wartime volumes included domestic and foreign propaganda posters (one anti-Japanese piece written in Arabic).
