Description
Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, Dynasties 26 through 30, ca. 662 to 315 BCE. What a masterpiece this was (and still is)! Large faience section of Isis, perhaps once holding the infant Horus on her lap, wearing the step crown which becomes part of the integral pillar down the back, her wig with beautiful incised detailing, uraeus on her forehead, her right hand to her left breast. A very lovely example! Custom red marble base. Size: 3" H (7.6 cm)
