Description
A fine and rare antique Korean silver inlaid bronze incense burner. Chalice form. The cup-like section rising from a circular base with a wide everted rim, decorated with scrolling foliage and a key-fret band. The sides decorated with four roundels of seed syllables within Ruyi borders, set against a background of lotus and scrolling foliage. The conical stem and base with a dragon in pursuit for the flaming pearl under a band of overlapping lappets. Measures 8.25" high, 8.25" in diameter. Unsigned.
