Description
A late 19th century gold stickpin. Of marquise-shape outline, the glazed ivory panel, painted to depict Michelangelo's David at the Accademia gallery. Length of stickpin head 2.3cms. Weight 2.9gms.
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Discolouration to the reverse, possible repairs.
  • Ivory has discoloured cracks, visible across the body of David, with small chips to the rim.
  • Glass has large chips to the edge, general moderate abrasion.
  • Wear to the mount.
