A hollow ceramic vessel, piriform in profile, intended to be filled with explosive liquid and a wick, and used as a hand grenade; incised line above the point, the wide circular rim enclosing the narrow mouth. 492 grams, 12.5cm (5"). Private collection, North London; acquired in the early 1990s.
