1st millennium AD. An amphora-shaped terracotta jar with narrow base, deep shoulder, rolled rim, bands of stamped crescent detailing to the rim and shoulder, applied pellets and rosettes. 11.5 kg, 46cm (18"). Property of a North London gentleman; formerly with a Mayfair gallery in the 1980s.
Condition
Fine condition, light abrasion to base and shoulder, applique partly absent.
