Description
English Burr Walnut Fitted Bottle Case, mid-19th century, decorated with gilt-brass Elizabethan Revival strapwork, the aubergine velvet-lined interior with fittings for glasses, some included, and three cut and engraved liqueur bottles, two with matching tumblers, h. 11-1/2", w. 13-1/4", d. 9". Provenance: The Estate of Karolyn Kuntz Westervelt, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
There are spaces for ten glasses; three are missing. However, two additional glasses have losses that render them unusable. Light accretions - dust and cloudiness - to the bottles and glasses. One of the corners on the molded foot rim has been repaired.
