Early straight handle reel with incredibly ornate knurling and metal work to the click and drag switches, rosettes under the mounting screws and handle. Pillars are also nicely turned as are the hard rubber end plate rims. Comes with full length unaltered foot, heavy counter balanced handle with thumb screw release and threaded end caps. The handle grasp is a replacement and there is a significant chip on the backplate rim, however, a large chip (90%) was recovered in one piece and is included with the reel. This reel has all of the eye appeal and style features that define high quality reel building at the turn of the century.
