Description
WORCESTER FLORAL PORCELAIN DISHES, SET OF TWO, scalloped-edge, lobed, molded shape with blue ground surrounding interior white circle filled with polychrome floral spray and outlined with foliate gilt toward marley and on edge; one dish has lobed interior molding and pastel polychrome pigments used in the floral spray. Painted blue mark on bottom of both is an open crescent moon. 1760-1790. 7 3/4" D, and 7 1/2" D.
Very good condition overall. Some expected scratches to surface and high point wear on gilding and pigment, but condition of gilding quite good. Small areas of restoration on the rims of both dishes and several minor flakes on the foot rim.

Provenance: From a Boston area collection.
