Description

Ansonia Mahogany Mantle Clock – Alhambra. 4.5 in. inset brass dial signed “Ansonia Clock Co.”, has gilt brass hands, exposed Brocot escapement with steel pallets and beveled glass door crystal; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Ansonia Clock Co., New York” with half hour strike on a coiled gong, has key & pendulum. In an unusual mahogany case with gilt turned finials, shelves on the sides and mounted scenic porcelain enamel decorated on metal panels. Nice overall condition, original finish, running, panels has hairlines and some chipping to the enamel; some veneer losses on top, feet are cut down. 18 in. high x 18 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 11.75 lbs.
