A CHINESE ARCHAISTIC STYLE TWO HANDLED BRONZE LI-CENSER, LATE QING DYNASTY, CIRCA 1900, of shaped quatre foil form and a flat rim flanked by pierced rectangular handles, above conforming lobed sides centering a shallow relief band of stylized taotie masks on a leiwen detailed ground with fretwork trim, raised on monopodiae cast legs enclosing a square form impressed stamp with archaistic style four character marks, as well as remnants of an applied Chinese antique export molded seal, buff dark blackish green patina. Height: 6 3/8" Width: 7" Depth: 6 3/8"
Condition
Good condition, with scattered green and white surface oxidation spots, surface dust /dirt buildup throughout, normal marks and small scratches, interior of legs revealing remnants of pink molding terra cotta.
