Description
This was originally made as an altar table to hold religious statutes and other accroutements for the rituals of Tibetan or Tantric Buddhism. The front of the table is covered with objects that are sacred. The largest is the Zeeba, a creature that is such a glutton, he ate his entire body except his hands. Bright colors were applied to emphasis the significance of the carvings. This came from a Tibetan area in Southwest China .Dating is after 1970's. The dimensions are 39 inches wide x 16.5 inches deep x 31.5 inches high.
