Louis XVI-Style Mahogany and Marble-Top Writing Table, early 20th century, the rectangular marble top with turreted corners, above a conforming frieze fitted with a single long drawer, the frieze paneled with applied ormolu beading and laurel leaf garland, raised on tapering circular legs entwined with ormolu grapevines joined by an X-form stretcher and ending in foliate cap feet, h. 30-1/2", w. 43", d. 27".

Minor nicks to edges of marble. A few visible sticker residue spots, as well as various surface scratches, from age and use. Scattered nicks to wood surface as well as a couple signs of repair to the X-form stretcher. Minor chips and repairs to veneer at tabletop's edge. All the metal mounts appear to be present. Nice warm finish.
