History: The Atmos (Atmosphere) perpetual clock is powered by one temperature change, which enables your clock to run continuously. Introduced in 1928 by Swiss engineer, Jean-Leon Reutter, who wanted to invent a clock that was powered by air, and would require no human intervention. He later sold the license to LeCoultre who perfected the clock to work by perpetual motion in 1936. The frame and clock are made of gold-plated brass with clear glass windows. The face is white with goldtone metal Arabic numerals, hour markers and hands. There is a blocking lever at the base on the front used to lock the pendulum whenever the clock needs to be moved. There is also a water-level N inside in front of the pendulum to ensure that your clock is level (the air bubble should be in the center of the circle indicating it is level.
