Important Antique pair of Chinese Wedding Dowry Carrier Boxes.Originally from Shanxi Province in China circa 1890's.Each carrier has a Bronze handle along with bronze rings and decorative metal corner pieces protecting the triangle looking case. With original Bronze & iron work and much of its original lacquer.Nicely hand painted Asian dragons and scrolls.Each Carrier measures 38" in height, 33" inches long and 22" 1/8 wide.Further, each carrier comes with a total of 5 boxes ( 4 box + a cover nicely painted) Each box measures 29" 1/2 long , 18" 5/8 wide and 6" inches deep. Each lovely box is beautifully hand painted with magnificent dragons sitting down & dragons chasing pearls & other symbols.A truly unique decorative objects from Ancient China.

Used,Generally sound with areas of age & use damage to the edges & paint loss in most of the boxes.
