WILL ELDER
(1921-2008) American illustrator and comic book artist best known for his work with Mad Magazine. Signed original drawing, 3 1/2"x 6 1/2", executed on a first day cover honoring the American flag, depicting Little Annie Fanny, a character created by Elder and fellow Mad Magazine illustrator Harvey Kurtzman for Playboy, in black ink and watercolor on the verso of the envelope, adding his initials "W.E." in pencil. He signs his full name in black ink on the face of the envelope. Fine.
