ENRICO CARUSO
(1873 - 1921) Italian tenor, very possibly the greatest of all time. His repertoire included over 40 operas such as I Pagliacci and La Boheme. Fine association self-portrait 7" x 8 3/4" (sight), shows the great tenor smiling broadly, signed in full at bottom, adding: "Havana 1920". Some light damp staining and show-through. The verso of the page is signed by JOSE MARTI ZAYAS-BAZAN, son of the famous Cuban freedom fighter of the same name, also signed by his wife TETE BANCES DE MARTI. Framed.
