Provenance: Gift of the artist to Mary Ryan Cotton, (Mary Ryan lived with Julia Margaret Cameron and sat for her photographs, Mary Ryan met Henry Cotton while in Julia Margaret Cameron's Circle and later married Henry Cotton), and thence by descent through three generations of the Cotton Family to the current owner living in Pittsburgh.

in good condition apart from 2 small tacking holes at the upper right, one in the print and the other on the mount, small spots of foxing throughout the mount on all four sides and a light time line inside of the French mat line, a small bubbling in the mount at the top center and minor planar distortion to the top left edge of the mount
